My first day of internship... so to say

Department of EEE

Today I went to the university to meet my supervisor (Mr. Rong Su) and to start my internship. After a short meeting in his office, already shortly discussing the project, we went to the assigned workplace. It is located in the basements of the EEE department. Yes, I have my own space and my own computer! My working hours will be from 8:30 until 17:30, as I will not get any keys. A bit of a shame, how can I now work until 11 PM? (^.^)
Next, I had a guided tour around the campus that is quite big. We first went down the North Spine, where I saw the other departments and the library. By the way, next to the library, a McDonalds is located on campus. And the government is worried about obesity? My first thought to do something about it is to remove all fast-food restaurants from university campuses.

After the guided of the North Spine we continued on the South Spine which eventually led to the canteen where we went out for lunch. The canteen is in most ways not different from a food court, as it has many different stalls with lots of different kinds of food.
After the lunch we went back to his office to discuss some details of the project and the things I would be working on. I quite like the project given and I hope to start reading about it later this day.
Tomorrow I will go to the zoo, well at least that is my planning for tomorrow. There are supposed to be rare animals in the Singapore Zoo, or at least rare animals according to European zoo standards. At least the white tigers are new for me, but I will see it all tomorrow!
