Dueling coasters Human and Cyclon

Continuing where I left off, I will now tell about Scify City and Egypt. As I left New York City I immediatly found myself in Scify City. In this part only one attraction is opened, more are coming later this year. The attraction which was opened is a dualing coaster based on the Battlestar Galactica series.One can choose between two (types) of roller coasters, a seated non-inverting one, called Human, and a hanging inverting one, called Cyclon. Both roller coasters are so intense that;

• One cannot take any loose articles with them
• Passengers above 1.80 meters can not ride the coaster unless seated in the middle of the car
• Warning sign are situated throughout the whole queuing area

Well, first I thought the sign were a bit exaggerated, but the coasters were very intense. Especially the hanging coaster, called Cyclon. By the way, both coaster started with an accelerated lift hill such that one has already a high velocity when arriving at the top. The maximum speed of the Human was around the 90 kilometers per hour, which is very fast for such a small coaster.

Ancient Egypt

Next to Scify City, Egypt, or should I say Ancient Egypt, is situated. In this part of the park two attraction are sited. One is a harmless slow ride in a jeep which takes you along cliffs, bridges which collapse while riding it and snakes. It was one of the fewer slow rides and was quite nice after doing three rounds of roller coaster.The other attraction is, again, a roller coaster which is based on the story of The Mummy. The ride is very spectacular and very well build. At first the ride is somewhat more themed with real fire effects during the ride. The special effect, by the way, are also done very well. Scarabs emerge from the wall after you have hit it. Although the first part is somewhat slower, the remainder of the part is not. It is also a very intense ride with a lot of steep dips and sharp turns. I should mention that the ride was a dark-ride, so the elements of surprise, like a very sharp turn, one cannot see coming. I really like this ride and during the day I have been on this ride 5 times, somewhat nauseous at the end.
